The Clean-Ace bulb is a high tech device which must be used only with a Metal Halide ballast. The bulb comes in two sizes: 250 Watts and 400 Watts--they are not interchangeable. A 250 Watt bulb must be fired with a 250 Watt ballast and a 400 Watt bulb must be fired with a 400 Watt ballast. The Clean-Ace bulb was designed in Japan specifically for the needs of plants.
