Coir is a natural fiber made from coconut husks. Sometimes called Coco Peat, it makes an excellent growing medium for hydroponics or container plant growing. Clean coir has natural rooting hormones and has shown some anti-fungal properties, great for bioponics. Recycle the coir after the hydroponics or container plants are harvested; the used coir makes an excellent outdoor garden mulch, completely organic. Use coir in both indoor gardening and outdoor cultivation.
