A Lo-Power Compact Indoor Grow Light is excellent for supplementing window
light or growing one or two direct light plants. These powerful yet compact
grow lights use less electricity than two regular 100 Watt incandescent light
bulbs, but at enormously higher efficiencies for plant growing. A great plant
light for gardeners who are just starting to grow an indoor garden. The 150 HPS is a low cost way to learn indoor gardening for homeowners, apartments, basement apartments, market gardens, or other
urban and indoor gardeners. Lo-Po (tm) growlights are a nice choice for small indoor
herb gardens or small indoor vegetable gardens or a one tomato plant container garden.
These growlights come complete with everything you need. A full quality ballast and reflector and built in together. The system comes complete with bulb, hangers, and a chain kit for easy and strong mounting.
Compact grow lights are efficient in using electricity. Your total cost of
$99.95 for the 150 Watt HPS or $129.95 for the 175 Watt MH includes all
shipping and handling to USA, lamp, fully assembled ballast-hood, 5 year
warranty on the ballast, 1 year warranty on the bulb. These Lo-Power High
Pressure Sodium or Metal Halide growlights come fully wired and assembled, plug
in the light and grow. Available in either MH or HPS Lo-Po's are good low cost
plant lighting.
At 10 cents per kiloWatt hour (call your Power Company for your price), a Lo-Po
150 Watt Growlight burning for 10 hours a day for 30 days costs $4.95 per
month. Your experience may vary some if your power costs are more or less than
10 cents per kWhr. and if you burn your light more or less than 10 hours a day.

Lo-Po is a wonderful addition to your gardening tools. Perfect for a small
indoor vegetable garden.

HID Growlights give better results than fluorescent shoplights with 2 tubes of 40 watts each. Regardless of how much you pay for the tube or the type of light spectrum, Lo-Po growlights will do your plants better than a standard shoplight (F40T12). A dual tube fluorescent shoplight shines about 7,000 initial lumens which is sufficient for starting seedlings, but is not quite enough to grow full sized plants.
With any Growlight it is always a great advantage if you can capture some natural sunlight even for a short time.
What kind of Growlight should I buy?
As of October 2005, the manufacturer has discontinued 100 Watt Compact
Growlights in favor of 150 Watt High Pressure Sodium.
The reason for this is that a 100 Watt HPS lamp shines out 9,500 initial
lumens while a 150 Watt HPS shines out at 16,000 initial lumens. For the same price, you get more value for your money.
Any place on this website that we have missed updating, please substitute 150
Watt Lo-Po HPS for 100 Watts and 175 Watt Lo-Po MH for 100 Watts. Thanks.
As of August 2010, the manufacturer discontinued building a distinct 175 watt Metal halide growlight.
The 175 watt Metal Halide Growlight uses a conversion bulb. The system comes with two lamps: a 150 watt hps lamp and a 175 watt mh conversion lamp that can be burned in the same ballast. This arrangement has lowered the cost by about 30%. Any place on this website that we have missed updating, please substitute the 2 bulb 175 MH. Thanks
